In-house (in-class) Examinations
The Committee for Academic Programs (CAPs ) agreed that the following guidelines will be in place in the Faculty of Arts in regards to in-house examinations:

In-house examinations in Week 13 cannot be scheduled outside the normal class times for a unit. (i.e. until the official teaching semester has ended the examination cannot be scheduled for a time (or place) which may cause conflicts with other class commitments for students.)

Where at all possible examinations should be scheduled from Week 14 onwards.
It was also agreed that it is important to think laterally/creatively about what is meant by "examined" component when designing assessment, and that it is not necessary for it to simply be an end of semester traditional exam.
