The conference recognizes that Australian, Indian and Austral-Indian cross-cultural studies are areas of serious academic engagement. It will also begin a series of celebratory events marking the completion of 150 years of Calcutta University .

Theme

Globalisation has changed the world into a volatile hybrid space in which new combinations and confrontations radically challenge all our forms of understanding and representation.
