About the Chinese Studies Review
Edited and published by The Australian Tertiary Chinese Teachers Association Melbourne, Australia
The Australian Tertiary Chinese Teachers Association (澳大利亚高校中文教师学会,ATCTA) is a professional organisation of all academic staff teaching Chinese language and Chinese studies at Australian higher educational institutions.
Besides their normal teaching assignments at universities and their commitments in various kinds of community development, members of the Association have been actively involved in researches. Many of them have published research papers on a wide range of topics such as Chinese language learning and teaching, studies in Chinese culture, history, education and politics in various kinds of academic journals.
The Chinese Studies Review 《中国研究评论》is a scholarly publication of ATCTA. The bilingual (Chinese and English) academic journal is the first of its kind published in Australia. It aims at publishing original and high quality research reports and articles with critical analysis of teaching and research issues relating to the teaching and study of Chinese language and culture.
ATCTA and the Editorial Board of the Chinese Studies Review endeavour to make a significant contribution to the advancement of the Chinese studies and in particular Chinese language and culture teaching and learning in Australia. We hope that through the Chinese Studies Review scholarly communication among members of the Association and with a wider community of Australian and overseas academic circles will be realised. We sincerely invite all concerned scholars of Chinese studies in Australian and overseas to contribute to the development of the Chinese Studies Review.
