2012 Re-enrolment
Candidates for a Higher Degree by Research (HDR) are required to re-enrol in their research degree each calendar year.
Who must re-enrol
HDR candidates enrolled in the Faculty of Arts must re-enrol for 2012 if they:

will be continuing their research program in 2012 (for any period from 1 January to 31 December 2012)

are currently on intermission but will resume their research at any point in 2012

will not be submitting their thesis before 21 December 2011.
When to re-enrol
Re-enrolment for 2012 must occur in the period from Monday 10 October 2011 to Monday 21 November 2011.
Do not leave your re-enrolment until the last day. You may encounter problems and be unable to access assistance in time to avoid incurring a late enrolment fee.
How to re-enrol
Re-enrolment is an online process facilitated through the Web Enrolment System (WES).
Candidates are remined to login to WES using their student authcate username, not a staff username (where one exists).

Please be aware that the Annual Questionnaire must be completed before re-enrolment can be finalised. The questionnaire is completed and submitted by the candidate online.

Other Research Masters Candidates
Need to enrol in coursework units as part of your research degree?
Candidates enrolled in the following degrees can re-enrol in their candidature via WES:

Master of Arts by Research and Coursework (2846)
-
Master of Arts (Music Performance) (3059)
-
Master of Environmental Science by Research and Coursework (2702)
However, if you have not yet completed the coursework component of your degree and need to undertake any coursework units in 2012 you must contact the Arts Research Graduate School to manually enrol in the unit/s. Please note that your School will need to approve the selected unit/s towards your degree.
Expecting to submit your thesis before 21 December 2011?
If you have submitted your thesis for examination, or intend to submit your thesis for examination before 21 December 2011, you are not required to re-enrol for 2012. You must, however, inform the Arts Research Graduate School before 21 November 2011 of your intention to submit your thesis before this time. Please email args@arts.monash.edu.au indicating your expected date of thesis submission.
Need to change your masters candidature?
Masters students who want to vary their candidature (ie change from part-time to full-time enrolment, apply for intermission, extend candidature) can download the appropriate application form from the Arts Research Graduate School website.
Important Notice

If you prefer to use a private email account or Monash staff account, you must forward your student email to your preferred account to avoid missing important information about your HDR candidature.
