11.6 Monash University International Students Service (MUiss)
Monash University International Student Service is a student-run organisation on the Clayton campus representing the interests of international students. It offers a lounge and an office with a full-time staff member to assist international students in any way.
The MUISS Lounge is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Free tea and coffee is available and a wide selection of overseas newspapers and magazines. There is also a microwave oven. Notice boards contain details of important issues concerning international students. Above all else, it is a friendly place to relax and meet other international students.
There are a large number of affordable social activities run by MUISS throughout the year, ranging from short trips to camps to dinner dances. A quarterly magazine, Network, is distributed widely across the University to keep international students up-to-date on events and issues on the Clayton campus.
