Chapter 3: Admission to Candidature

3.2 Initial enrolment

Offer letters for the Masters program are forwarded through the Faculty whilst Monash Research Graduate School issues the offer letters for doctoral candidates. Internal candidates are required to come to campus to complete the enrolment procedures. External candidates will be sent an enrolment package with instructions on how to complete the enrolment process.

Masters candidates will need to come to the Arts Research Graduate School to finalise their enrolment. Following enrolment, candidates can obtain their student Identity Card from the Student Services. Students are now required to bring a photo ID to obtain the student ID card.

PhD candidates finalise their enrolment through Monash Research Graduate School on Clayton campus. Students can then obtain their student ID card with the same procedures as the Masters students. The student card is required for use in the library and for other university services, including 24-hour access to the Research Graduate Centre or Menzies Building.
