Chapter 3: Admission to Candidature
PhD candidates are permitted to defer their commencement of candidature for a period of up to twelve months after the date of offer. To do so candidates need to obtain approval by contacting the Monash Research Graduate School.
Australian Postgraduate Awardees ( APA) and Monash Graduate Scholarship ( MGS) recipients can defer their commencement date until 30 June on the year of commencement. Candidates need to seek approval from the Research Graduate School Committee.
Research Masters candidates who do not have a scholarship/award can defer their commencement date for a period of up to twelve months after the date of offer, but need to obtain approval from their School and the Arts Research Graduate School.
