4.11 Transfer from PhD to Masters Candidature
A PhD research candidate who has not submitted a thesis for examination may apply to transfer to a Masters degree. Candidates first need to discuss their decision with their Supervisors.
A probationary PhD research candidate may be permitted to transfer to a Masters if confirmation of the probationary PhD is unsuccessful.
A PhD research candidate whose thesis has been submitted for examination and whose examiners have recommended that the thesis be revised or failed may not apply for transfer to the Masters degree.
