Course Overview
The PhD program of the Monash Asia Institute provides postgraduate students with a unique opportunity of undertaking doctoral research in cross-disciplinary areas. The Monash Asia Institute is able to do this due to its close relationship with the ten faculties of the university across all its campuses in Australia and overseas. Joint supervision across the disciplines allows students to maximise their access to academic specialists.
Entry Requirements
The minimum qualifications for admission to PhD candidature are:
- a four year Australian bachelors degree with an overall result of H2A or above (normally with a research component in the fourth year)or
- an Australian masters preliminary qualification with a significant research component and with an overall result of H2A or above or
- an Australian coursework masters degree with a significant research component graded at Distinction or above, and an overall result of H2A or above or
- an Australian research masters degree with an overall result of H2A or above or
- a qualification considered equivalent to one of the above.
