Graduate Certificate in Applied Social Research

Start of year and mid-year intake available

This postgraduate course, offered full-time over one semester or part-time over two semesters, provides basic level training in theoretical and practical skills about the processes involved in social research. It is specifically designed for those who will design, conduct and evaluate various social research projects. It is also intended to extend the skills of policy administrators who analyse research reports, formulate commissioned research projects and work together with staff researchers and/or outside consultants.

Most units in this course are taught at the centrally-located Caulfield campus. The Graduate Certificate in Applied Social Research is usually completed in six months of full-time study or up to one year of part-time study and requires the successful completion of an approved 24 point program of two units of study.
