When inputting katakana the method is generally the same as for hiragana except that the long vowel sounds are represented by a dash in katakana. To type in this dash, referred to as ぼう, you simply use the dash on your keyboard. For practice in writing katakana see: Tomoda T. and May, B. (1999). From Hiragana to Katakana. Melbourne: A.J.L.S.
For each of the following words written katakana, type the correct text input into the text field. Press the 'Submit' button at the end of each item to receive feedback. You will receive feedback as to whether you are correct Note: Use lowercase letters only and avoid unnecessary spaces.
