Getting to and from the Airport

One of the cheapest and simplest ways to get from Tullamarine Airport to central Melbourne is the Skybus service. It runs 24 hrs a day and return tickets (good for 12 mths) are the cheapest option. You can buy tickets on-line beforehand or where you catch the bus. Skybus will also do transfers to city hotels. Skybus website

Federation Square is in the centre of Melbourne and offers a wide range of restaurants and the Ian Potter Centre, NGV featuring contemporary art. Federation Square website

Southbank runs along the edge of the Yarra River, has a wide range of restaurants overlooking the water and is close to the National Gallery of Victoria and the Arts Centre. Southbank information

National Gallery of Victoria

NGV International houses the gallery's international collection and visiting exhibitions. NGV website

State Library of Victoria

The State Library of Victoria is the major reference and research library in Victoria and also has a number of exhibitions on display throughout the year.State Library website
