Dr Jennifer Mitchell has recently completed her doctorate in the Centre and has worked with us in Semester 1, 2007 on a part time contract doing teaching and research work. Dr Mitchell's thesis entitled Fictions of Becoming. Creativity and the Post-Domestic in the fictions of Drusilla Modjeska, Marion Halligan, Amanda Lohrey and Stephanie Dowrick focused on contemporary re-interpretations of domesticity in Australian women's writing. Dr Mitchell is also undertaking a Faculty of Arts funded project focused on students and study pressures with Dr JaneMaree Maher and Dr Kate Brown.
